Zovo Charity Lookup
Look up a US nonprofit's IRS filings, multi-year financials and computed ratios.
Search US nonprofits by name and get the IRS exemption facts, a multi-year table of revenue, expenses, net assets and officer pay from Form 990 filings, computed ratios with their formulas, links to the filing PDFs, and a PDF, CSV and Excel due-diligence report. Data comes live from ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer.
What it does

- Multi-year Form 990 financials with year-over-year change
- Ratios with formulas: surplus margin, contributions share, officer pay share, months of expenses in net assets
- Side-by-side comparison of 2 to 5 nonprofits
- PDF one-pager with trend chart, CSV and Excel downloads
Try asking
“Look up the American Red Cross, EIN 53-0196605: revenue, expenses and officer pay over the last years”
“Compare EINs 53-0196605 and 13-1623829 on revenue, expenses and net assets”
Limitations
- Covers US tax-exempt organizations in ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer.
- Financial figures come from the IRS extract of e-filed and processed Form 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF returns; the newest return can take a year or more to appear.
- The extract has no program-service expense split, so a program expense ratio is not computed.
- Shows facts and computed ratios only; it does not rate organizations.
- Revocations and current exemption status should be checked in IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search.
- Successful source answers may be cached for up to 24 hours (searches 6 hours).
